the age old question : do you think they're meant to be boys, girls, deliberately made to look neither male or female so they can be whichever you want to call them, or you just can't tell?

I think they are actually alien beings badly disguised in human skin and hacking jackets.

i'm torn between just not knowing and a suspicion they may have been done like that on purpose so that people could name each one they got male or female and make it a character in their collection. i know julip said male riders are always a lot less popular so maybe magpie didn't want to invest in two moulds knowing they wouldn't sell nearly as many of one even though they'd cost the same to make the moulds and produce the people

I think they're deliberatly made like that so you can choose. I kind of prefure it that way, but if you did want it to be obvious that it was a girl you could always paint their hair or milliput it in a little pony tail?

I think they are androgynous on purpose, If you want them to look more like blokes then paint a moustache on one,I did that to a couple of mine and it looks ok, it is also pretty easy to do

I think they're androgynous. Quite nice for the few boy collectors, to have something not so obviously girly though.

The casual riders were more 'girly' as they had more bushy curly hair.

I've never tired to customise a rider but I suppose it would be fairly straightforward to turn the ladies into men, just paint over the lipstick and add some side burns! Or a tash as Manda suggested. I can feel a few 'sex changes' coming on this weekend... mwahaha

Deliberately either, I think. Some of mine came with quite pouty mouths painted on so were girls. They were very odd, though, weren't they?! lol!

I've never even noticed anything odd about them, I always thought they were female. I must be very unobservant!
